The ministry of new and renewable energy has issued an important notification which states that the government will soon issue a list of solar manufacturers and models that will be utilized in government owned projects and those set up for the sale of electricity to the government according to this order the mnre will enlist the eligible models and manufacturers of solar pv cells and modules.

Each company in this list has a nationwide dealer network. The solar pv projects shall be installed and commissioned within 13 months from the date of singing of their power purchase agreements ppas subject to provisions of the ppas and guidelines of the scheme. The government is planning to issue a list of solar models and manufacturers that will be utilised in the projects owned by the government and for those projects established for the sale of power to the government according to a recent notification by the ministry of new and renewable energy mnre. That is a very large list that cannot be published in a sing le post.

Mnre also provides the list of dealers separately in a pdf document. Approximately 1 250 mw capacity is envisaged for bidding in each of the four financial years viz. The ministry of new and renewable energy has issued a set of guidelines to be followed by solar manufacturers for models of modules that will be utilized in government owned projects and those set up for the sale of electricity to the government the issuance of these guidelines is the next step in a process that began in 2018 to ensure quality solar photovoltaic pv projects.
